Ghantagram is built on trust. We collect the minimum needed to run a safe local network, and we never sell your data or show your phone number publicly.
Information we collect
To create your account and show you a relevant local feed, we collect your mobile number, name, pincode, optional profile photo, Bells, comments, Ring Backs, community memberships and roles, join requests, reports, poll votes, and basic diagnostic data.
How we use your information
We use this information to verify your identity, show local Bells and communities, send useful notifications, process community requests, aggregate poll results, and keep the community safe through reports and moderation.
What we never do
We never display your phone number publicly. We never sell or rent your personal information. We do not run advertising or behavioural-profiling algorithms.
Communities and polls
Community names, membership counts, public community metadata, Bells, comments and aggregate poll totals may be visible to people who can access that community or Bell. Individual poll voter identity is not shown publicly.
Reports and moderation
Reports about Bells, comments, profiles or communities are reviewed by authorised moderators. Report data is used to protect the service and may hide content pending review.
Sharing and disclosure
We share information only with service providers needed to operate Ghantagram, under confidentiality, or when required by law or safety obligations.
Your rights and choices
You can edit your profile, control notifications, and delete your account. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
